With over 600 curves and dozens of one-lane bridges, this legendary drive winds through lush rainforest, waterfalls, bamboo forests, dramatic coastlines, and hidden beaches.

Before You Go:
    •    Start early (6:00–7:00 AM is ideal)
    •    Fill your gas tank the night before
    •    Download offline maps
    •    Bring water, snacks, and a phone charger
    •    Drive slowly and respectfully

Black sand Beach

Located in Waianapanapa State Park, this stunning and unique beach features pitch-black sand contrasted against bright green jungle foliage and deep blue water.
 

State Wayside park

A breathtaking, crescent-shaped beach lined with hala trees, widely considered one of the most beautiful body-surfing beaches in all of Hawaii.
 
 

Maui Rainbow Eucalyptus

A perfect roadside rest stop surrounded by rainforest, featuring clean facilities, picnic areas, and easily accessible waterfalls with refreshing dip pools.

Don’t try to stop everywhere. Pick a few highlights and enjoy the journey. The beauty of Hãna is found in slowing down and appreciating the drive itself.
